MIAMI (CBS4) ― Miami Fashion Week is not only the official fashion event for the City of Miami Beach, but it's also the largest Latin American fashion event in the US.

It explodes onto the scene with over 70 of the world's most talented fashion designers in women's eveningwear and prêt-a-porter, men's wear, jewelry and accessories from April 13-16, 2007.

This year it is being held at The Wynwood Pavilion in Miami's new Wynwood Arts District.

The even kicked off Friday with a press conference leading into the Lingerie/Swimwear Showcase followed by the Miami Style Showcase featuring the best designers in Miami, including Julian Chang, Nicolas Felizola, Frivole, Ana Maria Guiulfo, Leo Koel and Susan Elias.

Here is the 2007 Miami Fashion Week Schedule

Friday, April 13th - Shows Begin
9:00am - 5:00pm - Designer Fittings at Wynwood Pavilion - enter on NW 1st Court side of the building

5:00pm - Cocktail Reception and the Jewelry & Accessories Marketplace Opens

6:00pm - Press Conference - Main Stage at Wynwood Pavilion

7:00pm - Lingerie/Swimwear Showcase - Algirmiro Palencia/Venezuela, Aline Alcântara/Brazil and
Silvia Ulson for Silu Design/Brazil

8:00pm - Mocali Showcase Castilla y León Spain
