The Miami Herald's 'Herald Hunt' A Big Success

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Hundreds attended the annual "Herald Hunt,"sponsored by The Miami Herald Sunday described by planners of the event as a "unique urban adventures puzzle in which players attempt to solve using a series of bizarre clues."

The Miami Herald's signature event geared to sending thousands of participants on unique urban adventures and hosted by the Herald's own Dave Barry.

The event was held Sunday and entices players to attempt to solve a serious of bizarre clues and follow a road-map found in Sunday's edition of The Herald to a secret treasure.

Sunday's hunt featured a horror movie theme in honor of Halloween where players joined Dave "Dracula" Barry for an afternoon of games, thrills and plenty of laughs

Dave Berry and Tom Schroder, two of the nation's top journalistic powerhouses, came up with clues that inevitably confound players, some of whom fly in from all over the country just for the occasion.

The first three teams or individuals to finish will win a prize, but most are driven simply by the thrill of the chase.
