Neighbors Mourn Death Of Slain Braddock Teacher

MIAMI GARDENS (CBS4 News) ― Friends and family gathered outside the home of Lemroy Lawrence Friday, after he was shot and killed in the front yard of his Miami Gardens home.

Lawrence was a loved wood shop teacher it Braddock Senior High School in Southwest Miami-Dade. He was known for his charisma and good nature with students, teaching them to stay out of trouble and keep in the right track. Neither police nor family know a motive for the killing or who might have done it.

The funeral for Lawrence takes place at 1pm Saturday, October 14th at Glendale Baptist Church. The church is located at 14580 SW 117 AVENUE, in Southwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who helps them capture the suspect, along with an extra $2,000 reward the local community is offering as well. You can call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
