NARANJA (CBS4) ―
An electrical fire on August 3rd left eight people without a home. Beds, towels, clothing, necessities all went up in smoke at 10150 Circle Plaza East Perrine Gardens Plaza.
For temporary shelter, Diane Odom and her seven children moved into a hotel in Kendall as the Red Cross assisted in providing some stability in their lives with a permanent home.
It's time to start all over, and luckily they received the gift of a new apartment to live in, but there's a lot of help needed. They need everything from school supplies for the children to furniture for the apartment. CBS4's "Neighbors4Neighbors" it taking the lead in accepting donations for the family. The single mom works at K-Mart and goes to school to become a medical assistant, so every bit of help is appreciated.
"I just look at my kids everyday and I just say I am so grateful," said Odom. "I was grateful before, but now I am super blessed to have all my children alive and well."
