Paul Chilton, Arrested In Connection To Disturbance At Shaquille O'Neal's Home
CBS4 News
Shaquille O'Neal got an uninvited guest knocking on his door Sunday morning, after an assault and kidnapping victim was dropped off at his doorstep and Tuesday police made a new arrest in connection to the incident.
The first suspect arrested in the case, Paul Leveare Chilton was picked up shortly after the incident. Police say Lonso Denton and Lawrence Khadeish may have also been involved in the incident. Chilton was charged with Armed Kidnapping, Armed robbery, Aggravated Battery.
Police were able to retreive the visitor log present at the gate at the entrance of Star Island. They tracked the vehicle via the license plate number at a Chevron gas station located at 601 Northeast 167th Street.
The second suspect, 18-year-old Alfredo Dominguez A.K.A Fred, of Carol City Florida, was arrested in Carol City Tuesday by Miami Beach Police and charged with Armed Kidnapping, Armed Robbery and Aggravated Battery. Dominguez, according to police, was a passenger in the car and allegedly participated in the beating and robbery. He was identified in a photo line up as one of the subjects who beat the victim.
Shaquille's stepfather, Phil Harrison, says the victim was beaten and left outside of his stepson's home as a prank. He also told CBS4's, Lisa Petrillo last Sunday that he hopes all the people responsible for assaulting the victim are soon brought to justice.
The Diesel and his wife Shaunie were awakened by a loud banging noise outside of their Star Island home around 4:30 a.m. last Sunday morning, according to police, by an assault victim. The victim was dropped off near the median of his exclusive neighborhood and was allegedly intoxicated. The man banged loudly and repeatedly on the Heat star's gate so much that O'Neal went outside to investigate.
Ryan Bibee, the victim, was visiting from Michigan and police say he was walking out of a club and had been drinking when three suspects in a Toyota Camry kidnapped him, assaulted him, drove him around the city and then left him outside of O'Neal's home. According to Miami Beach Police, Bibee was also shocked with a stun gun.
Upon seeing the disturbed individual, O'Neal, a detective with the Miami Beach Police Department, assured the semi-conscious Bibee that he would call police and rescue officials to assist him.
The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach for treatment but has since been released and is expected to have a speedy recovery.
