First U.S. Show Shot Entirely In China
Premieres Thursday Sept. 20 at 8:00 on CBS4
lc
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
The reality show that started it all is taking its act to the far east to a land rich in history, culture and the study of battle.
In a historic move, Survivor has moved far across the Pacific to rural China, which will serve as the battleground for 16 very unusual cast of characters.
The 15th season of the hit reality show will be the first American TV series to be filmed entirely in China.
China will also be a change of scenery for the show, which has taken place in an island setting the last three seasons. The last season was set in Fiji. But despite the fact that they're in China, they are on islands again.
The colorful cast include a professional poker player, a flight attendant, a professional female WWE wrestler, a former model, a school teacher, a Christian radio show host, and even a grave digger.
Over the years, "Survivor" has been set in Borneo, Africa, the Australian Outback, Thailand, the Amazon, the South Pacific, Cook Islands, Palau, and three times in the Pearl Islands near Panama.
Survivor: China premieres Thursday September 20th at 8:00 p.m. on CBS4.
