Man Accused Of Firing Into A Daycare Full Of Kids

ORLANDO (CBS4) ― An Orlando man is behind bars, accused of shooting into a day-care center as children watched from inside.

Police said it all started when Delroy Campbell got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend who worked at the day-care. Campbell allegedly stormed off and returned with a gun.

Witnesses said he first tried to shoot out the locks, and when that failed he fired at the windows. Because the glass was bulletproof none of the children inside the center were hurt.

Campbell, who fled after the shooting, was later arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
