Dwyane Wade Thanks Fans Following Surgeries

It was a difficult season for Miami Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade. Multiple injuries forced Wade to miss several games during the regular season and limited his ability to perform to his standards in the first round of the playoffs, a four game sweep by the Chicago Bulls.
Wade underwent surgery on his left knee and left shoulder on Tuesday and is already looking forward to hitting the court next season.
"The surgeries went well and I am now focused on the road to recovery," said Wade in a statement released on Friday. "I decided to have both surgeries in one day so I could get the full rehab process started and return to the court as soon as possible. I am feeling good, keeping my spirits up and looking forward to wearing a Heat uniform again soon."
Despite the multiple surgeries, Wade hopes to be ready for the start of the Heat's regular season in September. In his statement, he also made sure to give a shout-out to his thousands of fans, who Wade said made the surgery more bearable.
"I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time," said Wade. "I have really appreciated the genuine support from my family, teammates, Heat fans, the Heat organization, my business partners and well-wishers around the globe. The Heat have the best fans in the world and you have truly shown me some love."
