CNN's Nancy Grace Faces Federal Trial In Death

A federal judge has ruled that a lawsuit filed against CNN's Nancy Grace by the relatives of a missing boy's mother who killed herself can go forward.
The lawsuit claims that Grace caused severe emotional distress that led Melinda Duckett to take her own life in 2006. During a taped interview, Grace grilled Duckett on her show about the disappearance of Duckett's 2-year-old son, Trenton. Days before the interview was to air, Melinda Duckett committed suicide. Investigators, who have said in the past they believe Trenton is still alive, named Melinda as the prime suspect in his disappearance.
In his ruling, U.S. Judge Gary R. Jones ruled that the federal court system would handle the suit because the involved parties are from different jurisdictions.
The lawsuit, filed last November, names Grace and CNN as defendants.
