2 Squirrels Singed After Ft. Laud. Plane Crash

vm
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― Two squirrels are being cared for, after a fiery Fort Lauderdale plane crash that injured them on Wednesday, August 1st.

The pair were almost killed but were rescued and taken to the Wildlife Care Center at Fort Lauderdale.

The squirrels have singed hair, burned feet and a few broker bones. They are being hydrated and both are expected to be okay.

The plane went up in flames at the 1000 block of Northwest 62nd Street, just blocks away from the airport. Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived at the scene of the crash and put out the fire in about 10 minutes. The three onboard didn't even go to the hospital.
