The reward money for a New York woman who went missing in South Florida has been raised to $15,000.
Stepha Henry, who was visiting friends in North Miami, disappeared over the Memorial Day holiday weekend shortly after visiting a club in Ft. Lauderdale. In recent weeks, a South Florida car dealership pitched in with extra reward money to help Henry's parents, but Thursday more money was added to the fund.
"Obviously this girl couldn't have just vanished into thin air," said Miami-Dade police detective Roy Rutland. "We continue to follow all the leads as we have, unfortunately we have not received as many tips as we'd like, so we hope the increase in the reward will help."
Monday, Esserman Nissan teamed up with two local radio stations, WHQT-FM "Hot 105" and WEDR-FM "99 Jamz", to raise awareness of the search for Henry. The stations are hosting a special day of live broadcasts from the dealership urging anyone with information about her disappearance to contact police.
"I would like to appeal to anyone out there who knows anything, has any idea, or saw the simplest thing out there that night or any other time and who can help me find my daughter," Silvia Henry said.
