Dog Injured By Porcupine Finds New Home

WEST DEER, Pa. (CBS) ― A dog that had a run-in with a porcupine has found a new home outside Pittsburgh.

Blossom, a 6-year-old rotweiller, has been adopted.

A few weeks ago, Blossom was found in a ditch with quills all over her body. She was frail and could only walk on three legs because of her injuries.

With help from donations, an area dog shelter took her in and nursed her back to health, reported CBS station KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh.

Experts say if your dog gets "quilled" by a porcupine, contact a vet immediately so they can remove them.
