Colo. Man Charged With Biting Off In-Law's Ear
EDWARDS, Colo. (AP) ―
An Edwards man has been arrested on charges of biting off part of his brother-in-law's ear after drinking beer and getting into an argument.
Henry T. Benites was arrested on suspicion of felony first-degree assault. The Eagle County Sheriff's Department says his brother-in-law, Crisofor Q. Reyes, 27, was transported to Denver for plastic surgery.
A sheriff's report says Benites, 24, told deputies the March 28 fight started after he had downed seven beers and then slapped Reyes' son on the hand when the boy dropped a milkshake. Benites says Reyes pushed him twice before Benites put him in a headlock and bit his ear.
Deputies say Reyes was cited for harassment.
No phone listing could be found for either man.
