What Your Toes Say About You

MIAMI (CBS4) ― You may have heard of palm reading, but what about toe reading? The shape and size of your toes may just say a lot about you. Some reflexologists say everything from the amount of space between your toes to whether you have corns or bunions, all say something important about your past and the life you currently live.

Whether you have long toes, short toes, corns and cracks, in the world of toe reading, it all means something. KC Miller, founder of the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Arizona, has been reading toes for six years.

She says while palm reading is supposed to tell your future, toe reading, practiced by reflexologists, is meant to provide a mirror of your past.

"In other words, your little toes are a memory stick of everything that's happened to you," said Miller.

Each toe, Miller says, has a different meaning.

  • The Big Toe: "Ether" symbolizes your destiny.
  • The Second Toe: "Air" tell how well you communicate.
  • The Third Toe: "Fire" tells if you're a procrastinator.
  • The Fourth Toe: "Water" is your relationship toe.
  • The Fifth Toe: "Earth", symbolizes prosperity and trust.

If your toes are straight forward, it means you're optimistic. And contrary to what we've all heard, a corn is a sign of stress.

Toe reader Maria DeMayo says though some may be skeptical of this practice, it can be life changing.

"When you're aware of the issues, you can work on it," said DeMayo.

People like Jansie Rogers are willing to pay up to 65 dollars per session to learn more about their lives and what they can do to make it better.

"Anytime you can learn more about yourself its helpful," explained Rogers.

Toe readers say your right foot represents how you interact with the world and the left represents how you are with yourself. It's reversed if you're left handed.
