Cheerleader Sandy gets a little extra light during the 2008 Dolphins cheerleader swimsuit calendar photo shoot.
Prep classes are underway for women auditioning to be Dolphin Cheerleaders dancers but there are a couple of things you can do if you're coming out to this Saturday's auditions that will improve your chances of getting the gig.
Classes have been underway for hopefuls wanting to get fit and ready for action, an inspiration for those people working hard in order to achieve their goals.
"Please make sure you stop me if there are any questions about any of the materials," said a Dolphin cheerleader as she spoke to candidates looking to make the team.
The class teaches moves one needs in order to contend for the squad, which is holding tryouts in early April.
"It's definitely getting me ready for the audition," said one woman trying out for the team. The Dolphin cheerleading team does more than just dance, it also tries to gives back to the South Florida community.
"We also go overseas to see the military and perform for them; we do a lot we really do," said Tiffani Parl while at the Equinox Gym in Aventura.
Back in 2003,
CBS4 was there when the team returned from entertaining troops overseas, and when it handed out meals during Thanksgiving.
Incidentally, two former members are taking part in the CBS show "Amazing Race".
"I love to perform and I love to give back to my community," said one potential cheerleader.
The tryouts are April 4th at Dolphin stadium, Gate C, at 8:30am.
