Police Report: Planes Were Shot At Near Tamiami

KENDALL (CBS4) ― Someone may be trying to sabotage flights at Tamiami Executive Airport, according to a Miami-Dade Police report.

The investigation is now in the hands of the FAA, but Miami-Dade Police originally took in the report that two planes either came under gunfire or were actually struck by bullets. The incidents allegedly happened during a two month period this year, starting in April. The Miami-Dade Aviation Department told pilots to "fly steep" when departing and approaching that airport.

More details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
